Two of life’s greatest sensory pleasures - coffee and music came together in January’25 with the opening of mu.sō coffee. Promising a vibey twist on the classic café experience, mu.sō combines immersive musical experiences with exceptional specialty coffee to create a dynamic creative hub at the crossroads of Fairfax and West Adams.
mu.sō, a name appropriately derived from music society, features an evolving soundtrack of custom, original soundscapes and rhythms uniquely curated by both talented independent music artists and the renowned Sphere Sound Studio. The café also serves as a platform for local talent, niche music events, and, of course, coffee tastings.

The menu features coffee sourced from a top local roaster committed to working directly with small farms in Central and South America and Africa. Offerings include espresso classics, ceremonial-grade Japanese matcha, Asian-inspired drinks, and specialty options like orange bumble and creamy lavender raf, alongside fresh pastries and breakfast items with vegan and high-protein options.
With over three years of passion and dedication behind its creation, mu.sō is using sound and coffee to create a vibrant, community-oriented new space to the neighborhood.
mu.sō coffee opened its doors in mid-January 2025.
